HALLOWED GROUND OF MOUNT ANUBODE (Oke n' Aubode)
ARUOKUN SIGHTED IN UGHOTON
ARUOKUN symbol was sighted by the Oboiro in recent times.
This symbol represents the UNIFYING presence of AYI N' OKUN on Okenanubode (mount anubode). The power for miracles on earth flows from there. Considered from top to bottom, it shows one becoming many; read from bottom to top, it shows the law of strength in unity. Everything is working for one goal. In other words, one common denominator is the medium for control of life and destiny. Spiritually or esoterically, it is the holy symbol of Okun . . .(full name is not mentioned except in hallowed circumstances) who makes working miracles possible. It is the same that worked the miracle of the union of sun and moon on 23rd March, 1979.
ARU’OKUN means performing theater of the Waters or Oceans - OKUN is one among Ihen (divine or transcendental ancestors), incubator of all living things. Primordial ancestors incubated therein before they populated the earth.
We call the zone radiating from ARUOKUN, Ekaladerhan zone. Foreigners show the territory as EKEHUAN on modern maps. Ekehuan involves the landmass stretching from Iguoshodin, through all the villages between it and the Atlantic Ocean, as well as other villages west of this in the present Ovia North Eeast Local Government Area of Edo state. Other prominent villages in the area include Ugbinen, Oduna, Ikpako, Ughoton, Gelegele, and Ekehuan.
Contact With King Of Portugal
The priest of Okun shrine was the one sent by Oba Esigie (son of Ewuare who became Oba after his father) to Portugal to understudy the Catholic Church in the sixteenth century (ca 1504). Be it noted that Founders of religions anywhere in the world must first be approved by Okun (sometimes through baptism).
